DOLE 12 celebrates National Statistics Month with Learning Session on Infographics

Koronadal City- In line with the observance of the 30th National Statistics Month celebration, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 conducted a Learning Session on Infographics  held at DOLE 12 Conference Room, this city on 4 October 2019.

 

The said activity aims to provide the participants with the knowledge and skills on the use of visual graphics in presenting statistics quickly and clearly. It also introduced an innovative and creative ways in presenting data and statistics

 

Thirteen employees from the different field offices and units of the department got the chance to learn Basic Statistical Concepts and Methods of Presenting Data, Data Visualization and Story Telling, and the Infographics as part of various topics prepared for the one day learning session.

 

A short workshop in presentation of accomplishments using an infographic was also done by the participants.

 

“This is a timely training since  we would like to be edgy and artistic in presenting our data and reports,” said DOLE OIC-Assistant Regional Director Arlene Bisnon. “It is also our commitment as a department in joining and conducting activities related to the celebration of the National Statistics Month,” added ARD Bisnon.

 

Presidential Proclamation No. 647 declared the observance of the National Statistics Month in October of every year in the country with the theme, Data Innovation: A Key to A Better Nation. End/CDGamboa
