DOLE, DTI conduct health protocol inspection of business establishments in Sultan Kudarat

Isulan, Sultan Kudarat- To ensure that business establishments adhere to the set DTI and DOLE interim guidelines on workplace prevention and control of COVID 19, the tandem agencies jump-start their provincial inspection for Sultan Kudarat on 23 June 2020 with seven (7) business establishments in Isulan, this province.

 

The inspection team’s developmental approach guided business owners in ways to improve the health protocol and safety measures implemented during business operations.

 

Among the areas covered by the inspection team were the preventive and control measures during entry and within the establishments, alternative arrangements in minimizing contacts to clients and workers, COVID related information and communication strategies, and reportorial/referral system for probable, suspected and confirmed cases.

 

Inspected establishments were reminded to be compliant with minimum health requirements stipulated in interim guidelines particularly in wearing of face masks, use of thermal scanners, set-up of foot bath and hand washing/sanitation, and strict observance of social distancing.

 

“Mas okay man ni nga ma inspect kami sang DTI kag DOLE para masigurado na masunod ng employer naming ang minimum health standards against sa peligro sang COVID-19,” said employee Jenny.

 

(It’s better that DOLE and DTI conduct inspection so our employer would follow and  implement the minimum health standards in preventing the COVID-19 threat.)

 

DOLE-Sultan Kudarat Field Office Head, Mary Jane Hoksuan, reminded the general public not to become complacent and support the directives of the government to ensure public safety against COVID-19.

 

The DOLE and DTI interim guidelines were issued to assist private institutiosn that are allowed to operate during the Enhanced Community Quarantine and General Community Quarantine in developing the minimum health protocols and standards in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
