New labor inspectors undergo Orientation on Wages and Productivity

Koronadal City- In its bid to better equip the capability of the newly hired twelve Labor Inspectors (LI) in Region XII, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) 12 conducted a series of Orientation on Wages and Productivity.

 

The said orientation done through live video streaming application were scheduled in three batches. The first two batches conducted on 27-28 of May and the 3rd batch on 17 June 2020.

 

Board Secretary Jessie Dela Cruz handled the first part of the 4-hour orientation which involves wages related topics like RA 6727 (Wage Rationalization Act), Wage Order No. RBXII-21, Rules on Wage Increase Expemption, Facility Evaluation, Time and Motion Study, D.O. 11-12 (Employment and Working Conditions in PUBs).

 

Further, Faye Kim Wee, also from RTWPB 12 discussed RA 6979 or  Productivity Incentives Act of 1990 and other related productivity concepts.

 

“Following the established safety and health protocols and social distancing, the Board will continue serving its stakeholder amidst some restrictions because of the COVID-19 pandemic,” assured Board Secretary Dela Cruz.

 

“It’s good to know that RTWPB 12 is adopting to the new trend and finding ways in its information dissemination through virtual connectivity,” said RD Raymund Agravante.

 

RTWPBs are regional counterpart of the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC), an attached agency of DOLE. The NWPC is a key policy-making body on wages, income, productivity, mandated under RA 6727 or the Wage Rationalization Act (1989) and RA 6971 or the Productivity Incentives Act of 1990.
