DOLE 12 rolls out P80 million assistance for CAMP and TUPAD version 2.0

Koronadal City- Affected workers due to COVID-19 in the formal and informal sectors in SOCCSKSARGEN can now expect for additional assistance, this after the passage of Republic Act 11494 or the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act generated a total of P 80,825,000.00 for the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12.

DOLE 12 is set to provide a one-time COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) of P 5,000.00 cash assistance to identified beneficiaries from the formal sector in the region. The P 42,825,000.00 CAMP funds of DOLE 12 will benefit a total of 8,565 unserved workers during its first wave of implementation.

Further, informal economy workers can avail of a 14-day cash for work through DOLE-Tulong Panghanapbuhay para sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program funds of the Department. The P 38,000.000.00 could aid 8,012 beneficiaries. TUPAD recipients are also covered with one-year GSIS insurance.

“We will prioritize unserved establishments during CAMP 1 implementation and those who registered online with the Establishment Report System through reports.dole.gov.ph,” said DOLE 12 Regional Director Raymundo Agravante.
