DOLE-Cotabato City Field Office and Attached Agencies now part of MOLE-BARMM

Koronadal City- In its bid for a smooth transition and normalization process for the Bangsamoro, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 conducted the Ceremonial Turn-Over of the DOLE-Cotabato City Field Office and DOLE Attached Agencies' programs and services to the Ministry of Labor and Employment-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOLE-BARMM) at The Farm, Carpenter Hill, this city on 11 December 2020.

 

The said transfer of governance and administration of the DOLE-CCFO and attached agencies to MOLE-BARMM is in response to the 2019 Administrative Order No. 333-A or Creation of a Technical Working Group on the Normalization Process for the Bangsamoro which was ordered by the DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello, III. The continuing transition plan was also followed with the memorandum issued by DOLE Undersecretary Ana Dione on the Creation of Transition and Monitoring Team of DOLE 12.

 

DOLE 12 Regional Director Raymundo Agravante, the Chairperson of DOLE Transition and Monitoring Committee (TMC), together with Assistant Regional Directors Atty. Sixto Rodriguez, Jr. and Arlene Bisnon led the DOLE TMC and witnessed by the heads of DOLE-Regional Coordinating Committee 12.

 

Minister Romeo Sema, head of the MOLE-BARMM delegation, accepted the symbolic key of responsibilities as a sign of a new beginning and continuing improvement and progress in the delivery of labor and employment programs and services to the Bangsamoro region.

 

“On behalf of our Secretary Silvestre Bello, we wish you good luck with high aspirations and goals for a better, progressive and successful transition in the name of public service,” said RD Agravante.

 

The Department also assured its counterparts in the BARMM that series of schedules for the provision of technical assistances are already in place to capacitate and ensure MOLE of the continuous delivery of services to all areas. End/CDGamboa
