Polomolok displaced workers benefit from DOLE-RCC 12 Caravan

Polomolok, South Cotabato-The Department of Labor and Employment-Regional Coordinating Committee (DOLE-RCC) 12 conducted a Caravan of its programs and services to 471 retrenched workers of DolePhil, Incorporated to help ease the impact on the loss of employment on 18 January 2021.

 

The said caravan which is in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Polomolok, TESDA 12, and the DolePhil, Inc aims to help affected workers find new opportunities like local and foreign jobs, social media marketing skills, entrepreneurial and skills training, livelihood, Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) and scholarship for workers' children, among others.

 

Further, DOLE-South Cotabato Field Office headed by ARD Arlene Bisnon, oriented workers with requirements and guidelines of Registration of Workers' Association (RWA) and the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program.

 

RD Raymundo Agravante reminded the displaced workers to take advantage of the programs and services offered in the caravan as it was designed primarily to curb the impact of unemployment and continued economic threat of COVID-19 pandemic.

 

“Let us remember that the health risk and economic threat of COVID-19 pandemic is still around so I urged everyone to maximize all government programs and services offered as skills enhancement or start-up capital in rebuilding your job or engaging on a business entrepreneurship,” added RD Agravante.

 

DOLE as the lead agency of the DOLE-RCC is composed of its attached agencies OWWA, POEA, RTWPB, NCMB, ECC, NLRC, OSHC, PRC, and the League of PESO Managers in Region (LPMR) 12. End/CDGamboa
