For transparency in the implementation of good governance for the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No. XII, a consultation meeting with the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) was conducted for feedback with regard to its current programs and services last March 08, 2012, at DOLE XII Conference Room.
Six (6) CSOs coming from Labor, Management, Women, Youth and Teacher’s Associations gathered to scrutinize the DOLE XII 2013 Fiscal Year Budget and its ongoing major programs and services.
With the said initiative, the CSOs were satisfied of the presentation of DOLE XII through its OIC Chief Administrative Officer Ms. Lalaine Arboleda, Budget Officer Ms. Gelse Lanzaderas and designate Planning Officer Ms. Fatima Bataga.
All were amenable that the department’s program and services are effective and relevant. CSOs also suggested that the department should intensify the training component on livelihood projects, Child Labor, and also proposed the inclusion of the Green initiatives on the Livelihood Projects.
CSOs also commended the initiative of DOLE XII in consulting them regarding the budget for the implementation of its programs and services.
ARD Yahya A. Centi also gave his earnest thanks to the CSOs present for heeding the call of DOLE XII for its consultation.
The said consultation is a precursor and requirement to DOLE XII’s presentation of its FY 2013 budget to Regional Development Council XII. (From the reports of Ms. Lanzaderas)
