In view of the upcoming SRS Regional Validation and Assessment this coming July 17-18 and the National Validation and Assessment this coming August 22-24, Regional, Field Office focal persons and ITs/SRS Data Encoders gathered on June 25, 2012 to talk about the status of the Skills Registry System in their locality.
The group discussed the importance of the forms being used in the SRS and how these forms help provide easier collation of the data needed by the Bureau of Local employment.
Skills Registry System is the off-line version of the Phil-Jobnet where those without Internet access can apply at the nearest PESO and DOLE Field Offices in their area, the information they have provided will be uploaded to the Phil-Jobnet via a parallel run with Phil-Jobnet, the government’s job portal. Job applicants and vacancies can be viewed in the Enhanced Phil-Jobnet parked at www.phil-jobnet.dole.gov.ph.
In preparation for the two upcoming major activities, it was emphasized that Field Offices must seek the help of the PESO in the collation of data, fast-track the encoding of the SRS applicants and provide a list of applicants as entered in the system.
The SRS Regional Validation and Assessment will be a venue where all issues and concerns regarding the Skills Registry System will be gathered to be reported in the National Validation in August.
