In compliance to DO 118-12 governing employment and working conditions of drivers and conductors in the public utility bus transport industry in the region, both the management and labor union officers of the Yellow Bus Line Incorporated personally visited DOLE /RTWPB- 12 compound this 4th day of July 2012 to validate entries on Self- Assessment Form.
This is the basis for issuance of Labor Standard Compliance Certificate and to hold a ceremonial turn-over of copy of their Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) to Chairperson Chona M. Mantilla and Board Secretary VI , Jessie M. Dela Cruz.
According to RD Mantilla, the DO meant to curb some problems involving transport companies.
Mr. Norlan Yap , Human Resource Manager emphasized that besides giving the riding public quality and safe service, YBL had been keen on providing benefits including relevant training for TESDA certification and accreditation for their drivers/employees.
“The basic salary that our drivers receive is above the minimum wage,” he said. “We also give performance-based benefits such as quota system,” Yap said.
