Buluan, Maguindanao – Maguindanao Provincial Governor Esmael Mangudadatu personally received the DILEEP- Tulong Pangkabuhayan Para sa Ating Displaced/Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) check worth P7,160,300.00 for the salaries of 2,702 displaced workers affected by the effects of the El Nino Phenomenon who are beneficiaries of the said program.
In his message during the turnover ceremony, Governor Mangudadatu expressed his gratitude to DOLE Region XII under the leadership of OIC-Regional Director Albert E. Gutib for the immediate release of the assistance to affected workers.
“We are very happy that our affected farmers can now start with their work and receive their salaries funded by DOLE, it will be of great help to their families. Thank you Director Gutib for the immediate response to our call for help,” Governor Mangudadatu said.
Muktar Alid, a farmer and a DILEEP-TUPAD beneficiary also thanked DOLE for the assistance and is now ready to work for the rehabilitation of Lake Buluan.
“Maraming salamat sa DOLE sa pagkakataon na ibinigay sa amin, malaking tulong po ito para sa aming pamilya,” Alid said
Affected farmers from different municipalities of Maguindanao also received their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) particularly from Datu Piang, Datu Salbo, Kabuntalan, Mangudadatu, Paglat, Pandag, Rajah Buayan, Sultan Mastura, Sultan sa Barongis, Datu Salibo, Mangudadatu, Sultan Kudarat.
