DOLE XII Recognizes PESOs for Employment Accomplishments

Isulan, Sultan Kudarat – In Region 12, 80 active Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Managers were recognized for their invaluable support in the implementation of DOLE programs and services in 2017.

DOLE XII Regional Director Sisinio B. Cano, CESO IV said the continued support and contribution of SOCCSKSARGEN PESO Managers are instrumental to the accomplishments of the Regional agency.

“We are truly indebted to all of you and it is but fitting for DOLE to recognize all your hard work through the PESO Incentive.

PESO managers from different cities and municipalities received their incentive based on the criteria approved by the League of PESO Managers in Region 12 (LPMR) which include Active PESO Managers Implementing Programs and Services and complying the reportorial requirements for the period January-December, Technical Assistance Incentive, PESO managers with highest placement rate  for Job Search Assistance, PESO Managers with the most number of Job Fairs conducted, PESO managers submitting  regular quarterly National Skills Registry Program (NSRP) report, PESO managers with highest Skills Registry System (SRS) registrants, BEST PESO Nominees and Loyalty Award.

The DOLE-Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) has downloaded P400,000 for the PESO Incentive last year.

DOLE XII RD Cano said the awarding ceremony served as an acknowledgement of the significant role of PESOs in accomplishing the following for 2017: placement of 170,864 jobseekers; provision of labor market information to 380,579 individuals and 4,533 institutions; conduct of 101 job fairs with 4,148 hired-on-the-spot (HOTS); conduct of 209 career guidance and employment coaching for 442 schools involving students and career; placement of 17,737 students and out-of-school youth under the SPES; placement of 305 applicants under the Government Internship Program (GIP); provision of livelihood assistance to 7,708 individuals, and provision of TUPAD assistance to 2,353 individuals,  and TUPAD- Special Project Fund with 4,884 individuals, among others. 


The PESOs are the linked to the regional offices of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for coordination and technical supervision, and to the DOLE central office, to constitute the national public employment service network.
