Kidapawan City, North Cotabato.  No less than DOLE XII Regional Director Sisinio B. Cano, CESO IV has witnessed the turn-over of starter kits under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) worth P780,434.00  to 70 vulnerable workers of Pigcawayan, North Cotabato on January 5, 2018 at its Municipal Hall. 

Mayor Eliseo Garcesa spearheaded the turn-over of the kits assisted by its PESO Manager Beverly P. Yu and DOLE XII North Cotabato Head Chief LEO Marjorie P. Latoja to beneficiaries who are itinerant workers, land-less farmers, parents of child laborers and Persons With Disabilities (PWDs).  Kits released consist of tools, jigs and equipment for baking, vending of native and street foods, sewing, farm inputs and the like.

RD Cano extended his appreciation to LGU -Pigcawayan through Mayor Garcesa for its support and active partnership in all DOLE programs and services.  On the other hand, he encouraged the beneficiaries to make use of the opportunity provided them in enhancing their individual businesses which will not only help better their economic condition but also that of the community.

Mayor Garcesa also conveyed his gratitude to DOLE for helping his constituents not only through the implementation of DILEEP but on other programs such as SPES and the rest of the PESO programs.

Right after the turn-over of livelihood assistance, a Simple Bookkeeping Seminar was conducted to the same beneficiaries by Sr. LEO Helen Mangonon to equip them with the skills on records-keeping and basic business management.


On January 26, 2018, a total of P500,000.00  worth of livelihood assistance in the form of starter kits were also turned-over by LGU-Banisilan  to 207 beneficiaries of DOLE Kabuhayan Program. To prepare the beneficiaries in the management of their individual business, a simple bookkeeping was also conducted by Ms. Mangonon.



All 121 beneficiaries are automatically insured to the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) for a year.

DILEEP under D.O. 174-17 is aimed to augment the income of marginalized and vulnerable workers and hone their entrepreneurial skills through individual starter kits and negosyo-sa kariton or nego-kart.
