JobStart Trainees Pass TESDA Competency Assessment

Kidapawan City –  Three (3) JobStart Trainees here armed with hope and grit are now certified National Certificate (NC II) for Electrical Installation and Maintenance Program while undertaking actual work internship with RNF Industries Corporation, this city.

Kim Floyd S. Balagon, Richard J. Duarte and Leomar S. Gatela are among the 168 trainees under the JobStart Philippines Program who have taken the TESDA Competency Assessment for National Certification.

Kim Floyd S. Balagon said JobStart had opened windows of opportunities for him and as a NC II holder he is ready to take on more challenges which will hone his life skills and find a suitable job.

“JobStart gave me a chance to pursue what I love to do and I hope that this program will continue  for the youth to ensure that they can also find decent jobs,”  Balagon said.

DOLE 12 Regional Director Sisinio B. Cano, CESO IV earlier said that the JobStart program will not only pave the way for its beneficiaries to learn life skills and be trained for work  but will be given more options in life.

Jobstart Trainees in this city were given Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), Training Materials, Identification Cards and Uniforms, before their actual training in different participating establishments which include GS Ferolino Construction and Supply, John Ray Developer  and Supplies, De White Katala Incorporated, New Berco Machine Shop, Kidapawan Technical School and Security Training Center.

In other news, the North Cotabato Family Welfare Committee and DOLE 12 North Cotabato Field Office supported the recent book donation facilitated by Children International Philippines. This was also in partnership with Dolefil-Stanfilco and Kasilac Development Foundation, Incorporated.

Books were donated to public schools of Kidapawan City and the North Cotabato Schools Division which aims to instill to young minds the importance of reading books.
