Sultan Kudarat Skilled Workers Avail Livelihood

SULTAN KUDARAT — At least 158 skilled persons from Kalamansig, Lebak and Senator Ninoy Aquino, Sultan Kudarat are now ready to embark on livelihood projects with a set of Kabuhayan Starter Kit Tools received from the DOLE 12.

Assistant Regional Director Yahya A. Centi who led the turnover ceremony said the livelihood starter kit project will open windows for opportunities to all the recipients to improve their skills and abilities.

He also pointed out that the starter kit project is part of an income-augmentation program and sharing responsibilities between the city government and the DOLE.

Cong. Toto Suansing thanked the Department for the support given to his constituents that manifests the “Totoong Public Service”.

He said that the Congressional office is making all the possible link with all government agencies to bring the help and interventions from the government and to make them realize that “ Meron kayong katuwang sa gobyerno na handing tumulong sa lahat ng oras”

These starter-kit projects are amounting to P 1, 804, 640. 05 as one of the livelihood strategy by the DOLE that is intended to improve socio-economic activities in the community.

The starter-kits chosen were herbal medicine making, chorizo making, cosmetology, dressmaking, T-shirt printing, grinder, carenderia, welding, carpentry, carwash, vulcanizing, furniture, vegetable gardening, fishing, barbeque vending, flower arranging, waffle making, halo-halo vending, balut making, auto mechanic, banana chips and photography. /ENDDAnimas
