RDC-12 Endorses P280 M DOLE Budget for FY 2019

Koronadal City – The Regional Development Council (RDC)-12 chaired by NEDA Regional Director Arturo Valero has endorsed the P280,016,531.00 DOLE-12 proposed budget for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2019.

DOLE 12 Regional Director Sisinio B. Cano, CESO IV said he is optimistic that the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) will appreciate the regional agency’s proposal which is 40% higher compared to the 2018 budget.

“Our proposed budget was immediately endorsed by RDC 12 after a speedy deliberation and I would like to thank everyone for the inputs in coming up with the proposal. We also would like to engage our partners in congress to help in lobbying our proposal” RD Cano said.

RD Cano added that highlights of the 2019 proposed budget include the increase with the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) and DOLE Integrated Livelihood  and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP).

“We are also expecting that our P55 Million proposed budget for office building  and P4.5 million proposal for three vehicles will be realized by next year,” Cano said.

The programs/projects/activities (PPA) of DOLE was found to be supportive of President Duterte’s 0+10-Point Socio Economic Agenda, and operationalize the goals and strategies  and priorities as embodied in the Philippine Development Plan and the priority programs and projects contained in the 2017-2022 Public Investment Program (PIP) and 2019-2021 Three year Rolling Infrastructure Program (TRIP)

The RDC review of budget proposals is in consonance with the RDC’s mandate as provided for in Executive Order No. 325, Series of 1995, and in compliance with the National Budget Memorandum No. 129 (Budget Call for FY 2019) dated 3 January 2018.
