Security and Services a new addition to DOLE 12 Tripartite Council

To address issues and concerns on Security and Services Industry, the Department of Labor and Employment 12 convened representatives of companies that deals with providing security and services in the region last 23 July 2018 at Cinco Niñas, Koronadal City through the Industrial tripartite Council (ITC) meeting.


ITC is a unique mechanism in which industries, DOLE, the government and private sector sit as one committee in discussing issues and concerns involving a specific industry. It also serves as a forum for tripartite advertisement and consultation among organized labor, employer and government in the formulation and implementation of labor and employment policies.


Security and Services is another sector added with 7 other ITC’s representing sectors such as Plantation, Academe, Wholesale and Retail, Manufacturing, Construction, Tourism, Fishing and Allied Services. Election of vice chairman for labor and management was undertaken with Mr. Robert Panes of Protector Security Agency elected as vice chairman for management while Mr. Paul Oringot of EDSA Security as vice chairman for labor.


DOLE 12 Regional Director Sisinio Cano positively told the participants that the ITC meetings for security and services will serve as an avenue for them to lay down their concerns and to recommend polices that will help improve the security and services industry.
