Kidapawan City- Eleven applicants were Hired on the Spot (HOTS) as security guards during the Trabaho Negosyo Kabuhayan (TNK) Job Fair and World Café of Opportunities held at Provincial Capitol Gym, Amas, this city on 25 August 2019.

The guards who were hired by one of the security agencies in Kidapawan City are Rey Domingo, Harley Baylon, Angelito Pastolero, Joy Pascua, james Anelilo, Jamilo Joven, Rowel Rowel, Darwin Labrador, Albert Mide, Rowena Berto, and Roy Andas. They came from the different munciaplites of Cotabato province and had tried their luck in the job facilitation activity.

Rowena Berto, a 26 year old applicant, was one of the HOTS during the said job fair and she was excited to start her first job as lady guard.

“Malipayon gid kay subong lang kami nga bulan nag graduate sang amon training kag hired kami dayon diri,” exclaimed Berto.

(I’m really happy because we had just graduated this month from our training and we were hired right away.)

The applicants are graduates of 28-day Technical Vocational Skills training on Security Services NC II in Mindanao Technical and Security Training School (MTSTS) in Kidapawan City. MTSTS is TechVoc partner institution of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) 12.

TESDA 12 Regional Director Rafael Abrogar II in his message explained that TESDA assured that graduates of their techvoc programs  have job opportunities waiting for them through their training to work program.

Also present during the activity was DOLE 12 OIC-Assistant Regional Director arlene Bisnon who showed her support and encouraged all techvoc graduates to explore every job opportunitities offered by participating local and overseas employers.

“TESDA is our strong partner in the conduct of Job Fair because now we have the TNK. With that, I commend TESDA for the training to work program for their techvoc graduates,” said ARD Bisnon
