Koronadal City- A total of 6,809 local and overseas job vacancies will be available during the Labor Day Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) Job and Business Fairs on May 1, 2019 which will be held at KCC Convention and Events Center, General Santos City.
3,309 local employment and 3,500 overseas employment opportunities await lucky jobseekers on the said Labor Day job fair. These will be made available through the participation of 95 local and 17 overseas employers.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 has also introduced the use of Quick Response (QR) code in the pre-registration of the applicants. Said applicants could pre-register via-online and could eliminate long lines during the registration period.
There will also be a release of livelihood assistance checks to Barangay Government Unit (BGU)-Bula of Gen. Santos City (Php1,019,600.00), Stanfilco Makilala Labor Union (Php950,000.00), Local Government of Pigcawayan (Php768,046.00), and BGU San Miguel of Arakan, Cotabato (925,710.00).
Jobseekers could also avail of the programs and services of the DOLE partner agencies particularly those who need of the pre-employment documentation processing. Partner agencies who will be present are the DTI, TESDA, NBI, PAG-IBIG, PhilHealth, SSS, PSA, OWWA, RTWPB, ECC, OSHC, NCMB, NLRC, POEA, and NRCO.
DTI 12 will facilitate the Negosyo Center Booth and Learning Sessions while TESDA 12 will have their free services like massage, manicure/pedicure, haircut; and Skills Demo on bartending and table skirting. Orientation on Defensive Driving will also be made available for interested jobseekers.
“TNK Job and Business Fairs is a unique approach in jobs generation because applicants will be given an opportunity to land a job and at the same time could enjoy free services from our major partners like DTI, TESDA and other government agencies,” said Regional Director Sisinio Cano.
