Koronadal City- A total of 8,261 local and overseas job vacancies will be available during the Kalayaan 2019 Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) Job and Business Fairs on June 12, 2019 which will be held at SM Trade Hall I, General Santos City.
5,472 local employment and 2,789 overseas employment opportunities await lucky jobseekers on the said Labor Day job fair. These will be made available through the participation of 81 local and 20 overseas employers.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 will again use the Quick Response (QR) code in the pre-registration of the applicants. Said applicants could pre-register via-online and could eliminate long lines during the registration period. QR Code was first introduced during the Labor Day TNK Job and Business Fairs and was a breakthrough innovation introduced by DOLE Regional Office 12.
Release of livelihood checks and certificate of availment to qualified beneficiaries is also expected to happen in the said major job facilitation activity.
DOLE 12 Regional Director Sisinio Cano urged fresh graduates and jobless to grab the opportunity in applying where multiple companies are present in one setting. “Jobseekers should bring several set of application documents as they have the chance to choose a lot of companies hiring for qualified applicants,” he added.
Jobseekers could also avail of the programs and services of the DOLE partner agencies particularly those who need of the pre-employment documentation processing. Partner agencies who will be present are the DTI, TESDA, NBI, PAG-IBIG, PhilHealth, SSS, PSA, OWWA, RTWPB, ECC, OSHC, NCMB, NLRC, POEA, and NRCO.
DTI 12 will facilitate the Negosyo Center Booth and Learning Sessions in partnership with the OWWA 12 while TESDA 12 will have their free services like massage, manicure/pedicure, haircut; and Skills Demo on bartending and table skirting. Orientation on Defensive Driving will also be made available for interested jobseekers.
This year’s Kalayaan TNK Job and Business Fairs is a joint job facilitation activity of DOLE, DTI, and TESDA which is purposely done to generate jobs and offer entrepreneurial skills and free services to applicants.
