Alabel, Sarangani- A total of fifty-six (56) beneficiaries who were mostly former rebels and parents of child laborers were the latest individuals to benefit from the P987,140.00 DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) kabuhayan formation assistance.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 through Regional Director Raymundo Agravante awarded the livelihood starter kits at Barangay Datal Anggas, this municipality, on 08 July 2021.

Also present during the release were DOLE-Sarangani Field Office OIC Domingo Baron, SLEO Maria Ligaya Balongo, Alabel Mayor Vic Paul Salarda, LGU-Alabel Sangguniang Bayan members, Barangay Captain Roldan Salimama, 73rd Infantry Batallion, Philippine Army, and the Alabel PNP.

The DOLE Kabuhayan formation support includes project undertaking on carpentry, painting services, vulcanizing, tailoring, and vegetable gardening.

“Isang malaking pasasalamat sa DOLE at lokal na pamahalaan ng Alabel sa patuloy na pag-alalay sa pagkamit ng panibagong simula at magandang buhay sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng proyektong pangkabuhayan na di natin natamasa nung tayo’y namumundok pa,” said beneficiary Rufinio Diamante.

Municipal Mayor Salarda was also all praises for RD Agravante and the Department in providing a collective effort in personally reaching out to the vulnerable sectors even to the farthest communities of Alabel.
