The beneficiaries who were self-employed with insufficient income, women, PWDs, parents/guardians of child laborers, low-waged and seasonal workers, senior citizens, former rebels, displaced workers, and youth will venture on their chosen starter kit projects like carpentry, electrical repair, welding services, vulcanizing, dressmaking, gardening, carenderia, kakanin production, balut and halo-halo vending, among others.
“Daku gid ang pasalamat namon sa DOLE sa padayon nga pagbulig sa amon nga munisipyo bisan sa panahon karon sang pandemya,” said PESO Manager Franco.
(We are really thankful to DOLE for its continued assistance to our municipality despite this pandemic.)
RD Agravante in his message encouraged LGU-Banga to maximize the livelihood aid intended for the informal sector individuals in the said municipality.
“The Department highly appreciate the speedy turn-over of starter kits to the qualified beneficiaries so they could begin their micro-business to counter the economic impact of this pandemic,” added RD Agravante.
DILP is a flagship program of the DOLE which seeks to contribute to poverty reduction and reduce vulnerability to risks of the working poor, vulnerable and marginalized workers either through emergency employment, promotion of entrepreneurship and community enterprises. End/CDGamboa/OMSaltiga
