Koronadal City- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 through its Internal Management Services Division (IMSD) initiated the Learning Session on Mentoring and Coaching and the Orientation of the Executive Order (EO) No. 70 on July 25, 2019 at Villa Amor Hotel, this city.

National Intelligence Commission Authority (NICA) 12 Deputy Regional Director Wilfredo Nasul, oriented DOLE 12 employees on EO No. 70. The said EO is spearheaded by the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict under the supervison of the Office of the President.

EO No. 70 is an institutionalized whole-of-nation approach in attaining inclusive and sustainable peace by way of creating national task force and adopting peace framework  in ending local armed conflict in the country.

Nasul emphasized that one of the main objectives in NICA’s advocacies on EO 70 is to inform the public of the programs and services of the government. “The government lacks information campaign in the delivery of its services and programs to the people especially those who lived in the far flung areas or in the mountains,” said Nasul.

“In time of calamities, most of our indigenous people who were beneficiaries of the government aid were misinformed of the communist and leftist group that is why they were infiltrated by these groups,” he added.

On the same day, topic on Mentoring and Coaching was shared by Mechelle Ignacio, the DOLE 12 Human Resource Management Officer. Ignacio discussed principles involved on the said topic which will help employees improve their skills and knowledge to reach a better performance.

DOLE 12 Regional Director Sisinio Cano reiterated that the department is committed to help combat insurgencies in the region by reaching the grassroot communities in the provision of various DOLE programs and services. “Our program manager and partners in the local government are closely working together to achieve  the President’s goal in creating a harmonized country founded with a stable social order,” added RD Cano.
