Tacurong City- Fifteen (15) Tacurong City barangays are now Public Employment Service Office ready to operationalize as Tripartite Memorandum of Agreement was signed between the DOLE XII, Local Government Unit (LGU)-Tacurong, Barangay LGUs in this city, on May 4, 2021.

No less than the DOLE 12 Regional Director Raymundo Agravante, City Mayor Angelo Montilla, DOLE-Sultan Kudarat Field Office Head Mary Jane Hoksuan, Sangguniang Panlungsod Labor and Employment Committee Chairman City Councilor David Salazar, PESO Manager Allan Freno, and the Barangay Captains were present during the said MOA signing.

The 15 barangays that were represented by their respective punong barangays in the MOA signing were San Pablo, Rajah Muda, Baras, Lancheta, Upper Katungal, San Rafael, New Carmen, New Isabela, San Antonio, New Lagao, Tina, San Emmanuel, Poblacion, D. Ledesma, and EJC Montilla.

The said agreement empowers barangay to access better opportunities on DOLE programs and services which include employment facilitation, livelihood grants, trainings and technical assistance.

“Let me congratulate LGU-Tacurong and the Barangay LGUs because barangay PESO institutionalization is an extraordinary accomplishment, effort and cooperation between your leaders. This leads to a wide array of opportunities to the constituents especially the informal sector workers who deeply need assistance from the government this time of COVID-19 pandemic,” said RD Agravante.
