Lake Sebu, South Cotabato- In its bid to strengthen commitment to end local communist and armed conflict in the region, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 unite with member agencies of Regional Task Force to End Local Communits Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC) XII during the project launched of Indigenous People Empowered as Agripreneurs (IPEACE) and TESDA Alay ay Liwanag at Asenso (TALA) at Sitio Blit, Barangay Ned, this municipality.

RD Raymundo Agravante led the DOLE 12 contingent in the said launching together with DOLE-South Cotabato Field Office (DOLE-SCFO) Provincial Director Arlene Bisnon and her staff.

In his message, RD Agravante informed the locals who were mostly indigenous peoples (IPs) that they were the priority beneficiaries of DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP). “It’s good to note that TESDA and other agencies already provided you the necessary skills training and as part of the department’s pledge to empower your sector through entrepreneurship, we will provide you the necessary livelihood capitalization through our DILP,” added RD Agravante.

Further, DOLE-SCFO facilitated the mobile orientation of kabuhayan program to 52 would-be beneficiaries of Sitio Blit and accepted application of one rural workers’ association. “The 52 individuals subjected to evaluation were already good as approved and our office are now preparing for the necessary documents for the release of their chosen livelihood projects,” said PD Bisnon.

“Sulit gid ang paghulat namon diri nga makaabot ang taga gobyerno sa kabukiran, madugangan gid sang DOLE ang gamit ko sa pagluto sang kakanin kag tinapay,” said beneficiary Glenda.

RTF-ELCAC is the regional counterpart of NTF-ELCAC and was created by virtue of Executive Order No. 70 or the institutionalized whole-of-nation approach in attaining inclusive and sustainable peace by way of creating national task force and adopting peace framework in ending local armed conflict in the country.
