Koronadal City- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 has already paid 9,177 affected workers for Covid-19 Adjustment Measures Program CAMP in the region amounting to Php 45,885,000.00.00.

This after the DOLE 12 has approved applications of 736 establishments coming from the different establishments or companies in the region.

Private establishments or businesses  that have implemented flexible work arrangements or had temporary closed were advised to apply their workers in the department on CAMP. Under the CAMP, affected workers from the private sector due to the impact of COVID-19 could avail a one-time Php 5,000.00 financial assistance from DOLE.

The said assistance was beneficial especially for those workers employed in Micro and Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) affected with the series of lockdowns imposed by the Local Government Units during the enhanced community quarantine to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Beneficiaries went to social media and expressed their gratitude to DOLE for processing their claims.

“It would be a great help to us private employees in this time of crisis,” said beneficiary Joriel.

“We are glad that our efforts to extend our help to affected workers had reached thousands of our workers in the region.
