Koronadal City- A total of 934 beneficiaries will benefit from the Tulong Panghanapbuhay Para sa mga Displaced/Disadvantaged Workers of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12.

This after DOLE 12  released a total of Php7,426,680.00 TUPAD checks to the 1st Congressional District of Sultan Kudarat Province in June 3 and Local Government Unit (LGU) of Lebak and LGU Kalamansig in 06 June 2019.

The TUPAD check amounting to Php6,167,130.00 was turned over by DOLE 12 Regional Director Sisinio Cano to the Sultan Kudarat provincial treasurer and representative of 1st Congressional District of Sultan Kudarat.The said amount will benefit 661 beneficiaries in the said district.

Barangays of Obial and Pag-asa of LGU Kalamansig, Brgy. Christanuevo and Purikay (LGU Lebak) all received Php279,900.00 each while Brgy. Kalamongog (LGU Lebak) got the check amounting to Php139,950.00. The said checks turned over by Arlene Bisnon, OIC-Assistant Regional Director, will benefit 270 beneficiaries in the two municipalities.

The chosen beneficiaries will work with the community flood control systems and cleaning of their respective plaza for 10 to 30 days.

“This program not only help the beneficiaries but also helping their community improved in the event of emergency situations,” said RD Cano.

TUPAD is one of the components of DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) which is a community-based  (municipality/barangay) package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, the underemployed and the unemployed poor for a minimum of 10 days but not to exceed 30 days.
