Koronadal City- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 through its Technical Support and Services Division (TSSD) facilitated the Basic Employment Service Training (BEST) for its counterpart in the Ministry of Labor and Employment-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOLE-BARMM) at The Farm, Carpenter Hill, this city on 22-23 March 2021.

The said training is part of the DOLE’s commitment in helping the Bangsamoro region acquire technical capabilities and knowldge of the Department’s programs and services during the transition period.

Topics include Basic Employment Service (BES), PESO Institutionalization, Labor Market Information (LMI), Special Program for the Employment of the Students (SPES), DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP), Alien Employment Permit (AEP), Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa Ating Displaced/Disadvantaged workers program (TUPAD), Department Order No. 174-17-Rules Implementing Articles 106-109 of the Labor Code, as amended (Regulations Governing Contracting and Subcontracting Arrangement), among others.

“The transfer of knowledge and sharing of our best practices is part of our commitment to the BARMM and its people but the real challenge after this is we expect improvement of the implementation of the programs since we have a common goal in protecting the rights and welfare of the private sector workers and improving the lives of marginalized sectors in the Bangsamoro,” said ARD Arlene Bisnon.

On December 10, 2020, the Department of Labor and Employment successfully turned-over the DOLE-Cotabato City Field Office and the DOLE Attached Agencies’ programs and services to the MOLE-BARMM. End/CDGamboa
