General Santos City-The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 with the leadership of Regional Director Raymundo Agravante joined national agencies in the SOCCSKSARGEN launching of the Duterte Legacy:Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery held at General Santos City Police Office Parade Ground, Camp Lira, this city on 30 September 2021.
Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and Security (CORDS) 12 Secretary Isidro Lapena of the Technical Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) represented President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on the said event.
Further, RD Agravante led the ceremonial payout of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Dispaced/Disadvantaged (TUPAD) workers program for five (5) beneficiaries of the DOLE-General Santos Citty Field Office. The informal sector workers who represented the 1,003 individuals received the Department’s partner remittance control number for their wages amounting to P4,704.00 equivalent to 14-day work period.
Participants and beneficiaries were also given information and educational communication (IEC) materials of the different programs and services of the Department.
“Pinapaabot ng aming mahal na Secretary Silvestre “Bebot” Bello ang pag-asang hatid ng aming Serbisyong TUPAD ng maibsan ang hirap na dala ng pandemya lalung-lao na sa mga manggagawa na nasa impormal sektor,” said RD Agravante.
The Duterte Legacy is a simultaneous event of the government to showcase the success of the administration from 2016 by highlighting the different services and policies implemented by the different government agencies. End/CDGamboa
