Koronadal City- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 changed its leadership with the entrance of Raymundo G. Agravante as its new regional director effective 16 June 2020.
This after former Regional Director Sisinio B. Cano, CESO III retired from the service and passed responsibility to the new director.
RD Agravante hails from Libungan, Cotabato Province, a home-grown leader of the SOCCSKSARGEN. He finished his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at the University of Southern Mindanao in Kabacan, Cotabato while his Bachelor of Laws at Notre Dame University, Cotabato City. RD Ray, as he is fondly called, is also a graduate of Master of Arts in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies at Hague, The Netherlands.
Prior to his assignment in DOLE XII, he served DOLE in regions III, IV, NCR, IV-A, and as Regional Director of DOLE XI from 2014 to 15 June 2020.
RD Ray was welcomed by DOLE 12 personnel including the heads of the DOLE-Regional Coordinating Committee 12 with retired RD Cano through a virtual or online connectivity.
The said change of leadership was also highlighted with the conferment of the Civil Service Commission’s PRIME-HRM Bronze Award to DOLE 12. The award is given to agencies that met the PRIME-HRM Maturity Level II indicators in the four core Human Resource Systems of Recruitment, Selection and Placement (RSP), Performance Management (PM), Learning and Development (LD), and Rewards and Recognition (RR).
No less than CSC’s Regional Director Resurrecion Pueyo handed over the award to RD Agravante and was also virtually presented to RD Cano as outgoing director.
Further, DOLE 12 is also awaiting the arrival of Atty. Sixto Rodriguez, Jr. as its new Assistant Regional Director. Prior to his assignment in the region, ARD Rodriguez also served the DOLE-National Capital Region. End/CDGamboa
