A total of 106 beneficiaries from the Municipality of Columbio received their livelihood kits under the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) on November 15, 2022.
The turnover was spearheaded by Regional Director Raymundo Agravante together with Sultan Kudarat Field Office Head Mary Jane Hoksuan. It was also witnessed by Mayor Tondatu Mangudadatu and PESO manager Joyline Solinap, as the program’s Accredited Co-Partner (ACP).
Beneficiaries of the said grant were self-employed, landless farmers, PWDs, rebel returnees, and parents of child laborers.
The kits amounting to Php 1,662,639.01 include tools and jigs for food vending, rattan furniture making, vulcanizing services, and dressmaking, among others.
On the same day, RD Agravante released the DILP check amounting to Php 1,987,599.50 to Mayor Marites Pallasigue of LGU of Isulan and PESO manager Eric Fantilanan.
Ninety-four beneficiaries in the informal sector will benefit from the grant and will be receiving livelihood kits for their bakery, karinderia, and food vending projects.
RD Agravante encouraged the beneficiaries to manage their business properly and to provide excellent service to their customers. He also thanked the Local Chief Executives of both municipalities for their support and continued partnership.
DILP or Kabuhayan Program is a grant assistance for capacity-building on livelihood for the working poor, vulnerable and marginalized workers, either for individual or group livelihood projects.
