Tacurong City- In its bid to apprise workers and employers on the latest issuances of the Department, fifty (50) establishments registered and joined the Employers’ Forum conducted by the Department of Labor and Employment 12-Sultan Kudarat Field Office (DOLE-SKFO) via digital platform on 13 November 2020.
DOLE-SKFO Supervising Labor and Employment Officer Domingo Baron and Labor and Employment Officer III Karen Forcadilla shared topics on Labor Advisory (LA) 9-20 Guidelines on the Implementation of the Flexible Work Arrangement as Remedial Measure due to Ongoing Outbreak of COVID-19, LA 17-20 Guidelines on the Employment Preservation upon the Resumption of Business Operations, LA 6-20 Guidelines on the Payment of Final Pay and Issuance of Certificate of Employment, LA 28-20 Guidelines on the Payment of 13th Month Pay, and the DTI-DOLE Interim Guidelines on Workplace Prevention and Control of COVID-19.
Further, DOLE-SKFO Chief Mary Jane Hoksuan thanked the overwhelming support of the companies in the province of Sultan Kudarat and pointed out that the said virtual forum paves way in bringing DOLE closer to its clients especially during this pandemic.
“This is an opportunity to extend our help to the private sector in addressing issues and concern in your company operations considering respective Local Governments released restrictions and safety protocols in your locality,” added Chief Hoksuan.
In his message, DOLE 12 Regional Director Raymundo Agravante lauded DOLE-SKFO in ensuring relevant information are cascaded to the Department’s partners and stakeholders.
“I congratulate DOLE-SKFO for taking this initiative, maximizing online platform as a new trend in information dissemination. We are also grateful for the positive response of our Sultan Kudarat stakeholders in view of getting the substantial information as a guide to the workers of the province,” said RD Agravante.
