Tacurong City- A partnership is set to roll with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 and the Sultan Kudarat Electric Cooperative (SUKELCO) as the latter received a livelihood check worth P693,000.00 for SUKELCO’s assisted member-consumers on February 6, 2019.
DOLE 12 Regional Director Sisinio Cano is optimistic that a continued partnership with SUKELCO as an Accredited Co-Partner (ACP) will succeed and will be able to make a difference to the lives of DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) assisted beneficiaries.
“We are glad that SUKELCO is committed to this project and with their guidance we hope that the chosen livelihood of SUKELCO women member-consumers will prosper. We also recognize the full support of the Electric Cooperative’s Board of Directors in this endeavor which will nurture the assisted sector to become empowered,” said RD Cano.
SUKELCO BOD President David Batayola on his part said, the DOLE livelihood project is only a beginning of their member consumer empowerment program which will uplift their economic condition.
“We are grateful to have DOLE-SKFO as our partner in this effort to make our member-consumers economically viable. We are very willing to continue with our collaboration and is hoping that this project will form part in our mainstream program, “BOD Batayola said.
RD also subsequently initiated the formal turn-over of the 2018 DILP livelihood assistance checks to PGO-Sultan Kudarat (P2,574,550.00), LGU-Kalamansig (P1,203,2785.00), and LGU-President Quirino (P493,231.00). End/KZT
