Tulunan, Cotabato – In its bid to contribute to the attainment of full, decent, and productive employment, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XII through its North Cotabato Field Office (NCFO) conducted a face-to-face Employment Caravan at the Municipal Gymnasium, this municipality, on November 11, 2022.

Assistant Regional Director Arlene Bisnon with NCFO Provincial Director Marjorie Latoja led the said event that showcased the employment programs of the Department which include Job Fair, Career Guidance Advocacy, and Labor and Employment Education programs, among others through a one-stop-shop.

Accredited recruitment agencies were present for the mini Job Fair, offering overseas positions to interested job applicants.

Some 70 students from Tulunan National High School were also present and were provided with Labor Market Information and Career Guidance to assist them in making informed career choices.

Further, representatives from eight establishments of Tulunan took advantage of the orientation on General Labor Standards which includes workers’ statutory benefits under the Department’s continuing Labor and Employment Education Services.

As part of the Child Labor Prevention and Elimination Program, the NCFO in coordination with various companies, facilitated the Project Angel Tree, providing school supplies and hygiene kits to 12 profiled child laborers in Barangay New Caridad, Tulunan, Cotabato.

In support of their studies, the Local Government Unit of Tulunan also committed to prioritize the enrollment of the children in DOLE’s Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) Program for 2023.
