Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat- To increase awareness of workers and employers on the department’s latest policy issuances, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XII through its Sultan Kudarat Field Office (SKFO) conducted continuing labor education services to 45 local establishments in the province through its Family Welfare Committees and Provincial Tripartite Industrial Peace Council via Zoom platform.
Labor Arbiter Atty. Ma. Lourdes Romelli D. Juliano of the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) XII delivered a comprehensive lecture on the Commission’s mandates and services focusing on legal proceedings and actions.
DOLE XII-SKFO Chief Mary Jane Hoksuan expressed her appreciation to NLRC XII for a remarkable collaborative effort to apprise the local stakeholders with the agency’s programs and legal services.
The activity also includes the presentation of relevant Labor Advisories for the private sector and the wage hike in Region 12.
Ms. Karen Forcadilla, Labor and Employment Officer III, discussed the salient points from the 3-day Workshop on Women’s Entrepreneurship in the Digital Economy via virtual session by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO). She highlighted important areas regarding Industry 4.0 or the Fourth Industrial Revolution and how women can empower others in the digital-social economic market.
The Asian Productivity Organization is an intergovernmental organization established in 1961 to increase productivity in the Asia-Pacific region through mutual cooperation.
