General Santos City- To help ease the economic impact brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic to marginalized workers in the region, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 through its General Santos City Field Office (GSCFO) awarded P990,000.00 worth of starter kits to Life + Association under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) on 03 June 2021, this city.
The said amount represents the total cost of raw materials provided for the casket fabrication project of the Life + Association composing of fifty-three (53) active members.
DOLE 12 Regional Director Raymundo Agravante, together with GSCFO Head Conrado Artatez, Labor and Employment Officer II Rodilyn Pastor, released the raw materials to the officers of the said association.
In his message, RD Agravante inspired and motivated the association to make their business sustainable despite the challenge posed by the pandemic.
“Dako ang pagsalig sang DOLE labi na ang aton nga mahal na Secretary Silvestre Bello na mapalambo ang inyo nga negosyo para makatabang sa pamilya ug atuang komunidad,” said RD Agravante.
