Koronadal City- Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) 12 Regional Director expressed his gratitude to the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) 12 in its effort to repatriates the remains of an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

The ashes of Rolly Gabo Antatico, a resident of Libungan, Cotabato and died due to cardiac arrest while working abroad was secured by OWWA 12 led by OIC-Regional Director Marilou Sumalinog on August 31, 2020.

Antatico is a land-based OFW working as sales associate in Dammam, KSA. He left the country on 14 March 2016 and was reported dead due cardiac arrest secondary to hypertension on 16 June 2020.

RD Agravante also acknowledged the efforts and closed-coordination of OWWA 12 and Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Dammam, KSA which resulted to the fast repatriation of the said OFW.

“I appreaciate OWWA 12 and POLO for their strong collaboration and prompt repatriation of OFW Antatico which happens to be my kababayan in Cotabato province. The department also assures the family to expedite the processing of the benefits he deserved under OWWA programs and services,” said RD Agravante.

The OWWA is an attached agency of DOLE and a membership institution that protects and promotes the welfare of OFWs and their dependents. It focuses on the welfare of the OFWs and their families. End/CDGamboa
