Kidapawan City- A total of 82 applicants were Hired on the Spots (HOTS) during the conduct of Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan and World Café of Opportunities held at Provincial Capitol Gym, Amas this city on 25 August 2019.

10 local and 5 overseas employers participated in the said job fair which also recorded 552 total registered applicants.

Aside from employment opportunities offered to jobseekers, Technical Education and Skills Development  Authority (TESDA) 12 commited to give 991 technical vocational skills training scholarship to interested and qualified applicants willing to pursue techvoc courses.

These techvoc training scholarships attracted 196 enrollees which include Agricultural Crops Production NC II, Brgy. Health Services NC II, Beauty Care NC II, Bread and Pastry Production NC II, Computer Systems Servicing NC II, Cookery NC II, and many others that are beneficial to scholars acquiring real-life skills training.

“Everyday we are fighting against poverty, and this activity is our way of responding to the challenge of countering poverty and unemployment,” said TESDA 12 Regional Director Rafael Abrogar, II.

DOLE 12 Regional Director Sisinio Cano was all praises to the success of the conduct of the said job facilitation activity and vowed to continue its strong partnership with the TESDA.

“The department is committed to maintain its collaboration with TESDA and other partners to address the unemployment issues in the region. Having the free techvoc courses made available to the public, it also increases the employability of our graduates,” said RD Cano.
